This was followed by an article in the Telegraph, http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sponsored/business/youth-business-enterprise/10179675/employment-advice-for-students.html, our 5th feature in national media in the last 2 years. This follows on from other positive articles in Independent and Gateway newspaper and other the national awards and accolades including the runner up prize for ‘Best University Society’ and Best Services to Sudents in the nationalRateMyPlacement.co.uk and Society Showcase awards against 2000 other societies on top of the runner up prize for the ‘Best Series of Events’ in last year’s RBS ESSA awards. This is an enormous achievement and all testament to the high level of service we offer and an unprecedented stellar year and we are very proud to be recognised for our work.

President Abbas Kazmi had the following to say on the day: “It really is a huge honour for us to be recognised in this fashion and are delighted to receive the awards. It is great to see all the hours of hard work we have put in throughout the year pay off and thanks must go to the committee for work. These awards along with and our positive features in the national press confirm our position as one of the country’s leading societies and it is a great feeling! We have a committee culture that encompasses drive, excellence and innovation and we offer a level of service above and beyond that of other societies with the sheer amount of work and effort we put in. Fundamentally we are the best at what we do because we care more and work harder, devoting more time and effort to our roles. We constantly strive to make a difference and provide the best possible service for our members and sponsors and to have that acknowledged with our prize and the article gives us great pleasure. It has been a truly amazing year and we look forward to continuing our success! We look set for another exciting year ahead so watch this space…’
