Salim Moollan: Creating a UN World Investment Court

The PPE Society and the Oxford Guild are delighted to be hosting Salim Moollan QC of Essex Court Chambers. He be discussing his efforts to make a United Nations World Investment Court and issues surrounding investment arbitration.

He specialises in international and commercial law, especially in the field of arbitration. He is a past Chairman of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), the current Chairman of the UNCITRAL Arbitration Working Group and a current Vice-Chairman of the Commission, a Vice-President of the International Court of Arbitration of the International Criminal Court, a member of the LCIA Court, and a Senior Visiting Lecturer in International Arbitration Law at King’s College London.

He has won high praise for his work. “Perfectly bilingual and smooth as marble, he really is a class act”, “His knowledge of arbitration and jurisprudence is second to none. His cross-examination was really strong, and he absolutely demolished their experts” are among the compliments he has received from legal experts.
