LFC 24 is a 24-hour hackathon, with a focus on Big Data and FinTech, but ideas related to other industries are welcome as well. The event is part of The London Fintech Conference 2017 and the winners of the competition will be awarded a chance to pitch to venture capitalists on stage of the LFC 2017 as well as direct monetary prizes. We are expecting students and young professionals from all backgrounds to bring in crazy ideas and take them as far as possible within 24 hours. If you are already working on a project, you are welcome to register as a team, taking advantage of the professional mentoring brought to you by partners of CodeatUni, the prizes and the ability to work together for an intensive weekend.

It will be twenty-four hours full of product development, designing and researching, in order to push your company as far as possible. The location of the event will be confirmed by the 16th of January. The tentative format for the event is as follows:

Friday:

6 PM: Registration
6.30 PM: Opening speeches + introduction
7 PM: Pitches start
7.45 PM: Pitches end, networking starts
8.30 PM: Teams announced, words of encouragement from the mentors
9.00 PM: Work begins! Social Media Challenge opens

Saturday:

8.30 AM: Morning Coffee
9.00 AM: Teamwork continues
10.30 AM: Checkpoint (Gathering with your appointed mentor and going over work done so far and plans)
11.00 AM: Teamwork continues
1 PM : Coffee + lunch
2 PM: Work continues/pitching workshop for the founders
4 PM: Social Media vote stops, presentations finalised
4.30 PM: Pitches begin (5 min + 3 min Q&A)
5.15 PM: Pitches end, Final talk
5.45 PM: Award ceremony, the top 3 will proceed to pitch on stage of LFC to leading VC’s and founders
6 PM: End
