On Friday 2nd November BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager, is holding an extremely valuable event with directors at Trinity College’s Danson Room from 7pm. The event will be about the Portfolio Analytics Group (PAG), a risk and analytics group in BlackRock Solutions that utilises sophisticated analytics on fixed income, equity and alternatives businesses to help our clients and portfolio managers understand their portfolio exposures, strategy, risk and returns. PAG provides the daily risk reporting and ad-hoc analytical support to over $7 trillion worth of assets under risk management across thousands of portfolios. Analysts will gain a broad understanding of the asset and risk management business, which includes learning about the wide range of securities our clients trade, how they are priced in the market, how we analyze them within BlackRock Solutions and what sensitivities they have to various market factors. The group is also responsible for developing, maintaining and enhancing the technology that is used to support the trading and reporting needs of BlackRock Solutions’ risk management clients.THIS IS AN EXCITING AND UNIQUE AREA THAT PROVIDES HUGE EXPOSURE, UNPARALLED TRAINING AND TRANSITION OPPORTUNITIES. Portfolio Analytics within BlackRock Solutions is responsible for delivering our financial analytical capabilities on securities and portfolios to portfolio and risk management teams at BlackRock and external clients. While we do not manage money, we enable our clients to understand their asset allocation and risk exposure so they can better manage their investment portfolios. We are at the intersection of the portfolio and risk managers who utilise our analytics, the financial modellers and developers who build the analytics and portfolio management tools, and the operations teams that perform the daily analytical processing.
We offer full time and internship positions in Client Services, Investment Management, Operations, Portfolio Analytics/Advisory, Risk or Technology in London or Edinburgh.
